Drugstore products I always use

Since having a baby, I have changed my makeup routine frequently. There are, however, some products that I still continue to use because I just can’t be without them. I’m not going to mention the standard ones like Collection’s Lasting Perfection Concealer because that one is bloody obvious. So, let’s get to the reason you came to this post. Oh, please be kind because this is my first beauty post. Thought I should probably mention that.

A product that I reach for everyday is the I Heart Chocolate Salted Caramel Palette. I love this palette because it is full of warm toned shades, which is perfect for me. A couple of shades, mainly the shimmers, aren’t very pigmented but the ones I use are so pigmented and easy to blend so it works for me. There can be quite a bit of fallout but it’s nothing that a quick tapping of the brush won’t sort. I love doing a rusty orange eye with this palette or I add a bit of gold to the look to make it work for summer as well.

Another eye product i would never be without is the Max Factor 2000 Calorie Mascara. I’m reluctant to try other mascaras because I love the way my eyelashes look with it. It lengthens and volumises my lashes without making them clumpy so really you can’t go wrong.

Moving into lips. A recent favourite of mine is the L’Oréal’s Colour Riche lipstick in the shade Eva’s nude. Normally I opt for a coral or a plum shade but this nude won me over.  I was initially drawn to it because of the packaging but I’m so glad I tried it. You end up with a satin finish that would suit a range of skin tones. The only downside is that it does fade after a few hours but it does fade evenly and it isn’t drying when it does.

Another lip product I love, especially at this time of year, is Rimmel London’s Exaggerate Lipliner in Eastend Snob. I was one of those terrible people that never used to bother with lip liner but after using this shade, I have been converted. I frequently wear this on its own because I end up with a beautiful matte finish. Also this shade is a dupe for Charlotte Tilbury’s Pillow Talk so it’s perfect if you’re doing a drugstore only month or trying to save money.

I frequently change my foundation as I still haven’t found the perfect one for me. Seriously, send me recommendations for a foundation that has high coverage and is good for dry skin then please hook a girl up.

Sorry you didn’t get a foundation for this. I’ll add one when I finally sort my life out. I also did a great job telling you about my favourites by also telling you the downsides to the products. Great work Steph. Hopefully my next beauty post will be better.
